Happy New Year 2010!

We spent New Year's Eve with our friends this year playing Rock Band and pool. Kesli stayed the night with Grammy and the pups because she had a cold. We missed her like crazy while we were watching the little girls play though! This is Colton and Justin - best buds!

"I no wike heem" Kesli Shay Tanner

No! I'm not one of those mean moms who make their kids sit on Santa's lap. We went to the lights at Willard Bay and I asked her if she wanted to go see Santa and sit on his lap. She wanted to, and even said "I want Santa hold you" until we got to the tent and she could see Santa, which is when she said

"I know wike heem!" But, we had to get a picture anyway! That was a $5 candy cane:)

The Duke

Kesli and Duke - Where's her boots you ask? (She has 4 pairs!!!!) Well, her cute little feet are too chunky and I can't get the darn things on! Gonna have to go the boot stretcher guy I guess:)

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at home this year with family. We are so grateful for all that we have and for our angel Kesli Shay! It's during this time of the year that we reflect upon all that we have including a warm house and food on the table. It breaks my heart to think of others (and children) going hungry and out in the cold. We truly are blessed and thankful for our friends and family and challenge you all to reach out to someone in need this holiday season - even if its grabbing a name off a tree at the bank or donating food and clothing to the homeless shelters. Anything and everything goes a long way for someone with nothing!!

Kesli loves to read books in her closet. It's funny to watch and listen to her!!! She started doing this when I was putting her laundry away one day and now she asks me to open the closet all the time!

I took Kesli to Discovery Gateway over UEA, since our Lake Powell trip was cancelled. I have no idea what I was thinking (or wasn't!!!) because I think every kid in SLC was there. But, we still had fun and I got some good ideas for Santa!

Her FAVORITE of the day, the baby strollers...we had quite the meltdown when it was time to go home and we had to put the stroller back!

~Carving Pumpkins~

I let Kesli help me clean out the pumpkins - I LOVE the disgusted look on her face in the first pic...

- A witch, a ghost house and "Trick or Treat" -

We woke up Monday morning and found our pumpkins smashed in the street, including the GLASS candles I put inside them. Thanks Kids! Now instead of chucking them in the garbage, we have to scrape them up off the street...Ah!

Black Island Farms - FUN!

We took a little trip out to Black Island Farms and had so much fun!!! Kesli loved riding the "train" and sliding down the slides. She loves tractors too, so the Hay Ride to the Pumpkin Patch was so exciting for her, plus she got to love on the pumpkins and take one home!

Horsin' Around

We went to the barrell race a couple of weeks ago to watch Jessi run. When she was done, Kesli got to ride Shorty. We kept asking her if she wanted to get off and she'd shake her head and say no. When we finally did talk her in to getting off, it was only to get on Dee, Jessi's other horse (below). The picture below is Dee and was taken a few months ago...

Kesli has mastered multi-tasking already. She can talk on the phone, sip on Starbuck's and wave the plastic...Watch out Daddy!!! Now you have 2 of us:)

Kesli hauled this chair out from her room the other day and sat down and started reading stories. She had to have Shilo (black and white) and Oscar (brown and white) sit with her too. She sure loves those two stuffed pups.

LaBoR DaY ~ 2009

We took a little trip to Flaming Gorge over Labor Day. The weather was perfect and the pics pretty much explain themselves!!! Did you know Spiderman could wakeboard? And check-out the sweet docks Colton invented and built...they worked perfect!!! Lots of fun was had by all tubing, kneeboarding, playing horse shoes and just hanging out with family and friends!
